The classic BCR, also known as a captive bead ring, can be used in a variety of body parts. It’s secured by a ball that’s clamped between the ring’s opening. The ball has two small indentations on either side to allow it to snap into place. Depending on the ring’s size, you may need a special tool (captive bead pliers) to release the ball before insertion and then clamp it back in place afterward.
